From cost-share programs and conservation incentives to disaster assistance and loan options, these resources are designed to help producers manage risk, invest in improvements, and navigate financial challenges.

  • This tax credit is meant to encourage the practice of qualified stewardship practices on a farm or ranch, including any practice that:

    • increases soil health,

    • improves water efficiency, or

    • creates more diverse and beneficial ecosystems while maintaining the productivity of the farm or ranch.

    This tax credit was created through HB24-1249. CDA and Department of Revenue (DOR) will manage the tax credit program. 

    The Ag Stewardship Tax Credit (ASTC):

  • The Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) is NRCS’ flagship conservation program that helps farmers, ranchers and forest landowners integrate conservation into working lands.

    EQIP provides technical and financial assistance to agricultural producers and forest landowners to address natural resource concerns, such as:

    • Improved water and air quality;

    • Conserved ground and surface water;

    • Increased soil health ;

    • Reduced soil erosion and sedimentation;

    • Improved or created wildlife habitat; and

    • Mitigation against drought and increasing weather volatility.
