Ag-Informed Behavioral Health

The Ag-Informed Behavioral Health page connects agricultural producers and rural community members with mental and behavioral health resources that understand the unique challenges of working in agriculture. Multiple studies show that farmer suicide rates are 2-5x higher than the national average. From financial pressures and isolation to unpredictable weather and market shifts, farmers and ranchers face stressors that impact both personal well-being and business success.

It is important to encourage those struggling to reach out for help. To build a sustainable future for agriculture, we must promote the well-being of our farmers and ranchers. Please reach out to the Colorado Crisis Services if you, or someone you love, is struggling. Below, you can find additional resources for rural and ag-informed behavioral health.
