Program Updates

The Grand Valley Water Committee (GVWC) held its first bi-annual meeting on February 26th. This event gave us so much insight into the priorities for local water management! This event was attended by over 30 water professionals. Each member brought valuable expertise and a shared commitment to securing the future of Western Colorado by promoting watershed health, enhancing drought resilience, and supporting local economic growth. Keep an eye out for the release of the GVWC 3-year plan!

RiversEdge West and Mesa Conservation District held a successful wildlife habitat restoration workshop in February! Participants spent the evening learning about the importance of soil science and habitat restoration to improve the overall health of working lands. Thank you to everyone who helped make this a successful event! Stay tuned for an updated soil health page on our website!
