The experience of growing food for a community has opened my eyes and heart to how important it is for us to take care of the land beneath our feet, the water which can nourish it, and the people that comprise it. There are many ways to be involved in making an impact in our communities, and this is something I have come to endear. I have grown and feel ready for an opportunity to advocate for positive change. As a member of the Mesa Conservation District, I am hopeful to learn more of the challenges that we face in the Grand Valley so that I may be part of a positive impact on our choices now and in the near future for the betterment of our community for generations to come.
